A reference to the gold-hung palace-tent (orda) of the Great Khan, whence all power was derived.

(historical) A medieval Mongol and later Turkicized khanate established in the 13th century and originating as the northwestern sector of the Mongol Empire; at its maximum extent covering large parts of modern Russia as well as modern Ukraine.
In that year all the sons of Juchi except Tuka Timur went to assist at the inauguration of Ogotai Khan, and he was left behind in charge of the Golden Horde.
