From the atonal Hanyu Pinyin romanization of the Mandarin 豐鎬 /丰镐 (Fēnghào) and 灃鎬 /沣镐 (Fēnghào, “Feng & Hao”), the two parts of the twin city.

(historical) An ancient city in Xi'an, Shaanxi, former capital of China under the Zhou dynasty.
The Zhou established their capital city at Fenghao in the middle reaches of the Feng River, a branch of the Wei River, not far from the present city of Xi'an. Thereafter, Fenghao was the centre of Zhou politics, economy and culture.
