In March 2012, senior NATO staff in Brussels were fooled into accepting Facebook friend requests from a bogus account of NATO’s supreme allied commander, US Admiral James Savridis. This enabled those behind the fake page to steal phone numbers, friends and email addresses from the bamboozled NATO users of Facey-B.
