  1. The former name and present-day synonym of Dania Beach, Florida, renamed in 1998.
    • The Food and Drug Administration earlier this year seized a common food preservative, butylated hydroxytoluene, known simply as BHT, from Life Extension Products in Dania and Hollywood, Fla., after the product had been advertised as a treatment for herpes and AIDS, an agency spokesman said.
