  1. A growing medium made of 4 parts (by weight) potassium chloride, 1 part calcium sulphate, 1 part magnesium sulphate, 1 part magnesium phosphate, and 1 part iron phosphate.
    • The one type was a modified Crone's solution, and the other an agar medium similar to that used by Tsi-Tung Li. 1936, Canadian Institute, Transactions, volumes 21-22, page 88:
